WHAT IS LATINO CONSERVATION WEEK?

Latino Conservation Week is a nationwide celebration that brings Latino communities together to enjoy the outdoors, connect, and participate in conservation. Each year, organizations and communities across the country take part by hosting events and creating opportunities to connect people with the outdoors and conservation.

Locally, Wilderness Workshop and Defiende Nuestra Tierra are proud to participate by bringing Latino Conservation Week to our local community through opportunities to explore, learn, connect, and care for the public lands we all share.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate Latino Conservation Week with your family, friends, or on your own. Get outside, learn something new, and find your own way to connect with and care for the public lands around you.

  • CARE: Pick up a piece of trash during your next outdoor adventure.

  • LEARN: Discover something new about the public lands in your community.

  • SPEAK UP: Share why these places are important to you and encourage others to get involved.
