Las actividades del sábado por la mañana incluyen (9-12 pm):

Caminata por Rifle Arch
De 9:00 am a 12:00 pm. Nos reuniremos en Rifle Arch y luego nos dirigiremos a Rifle Arch Trailhead en Rifle para hacer una caminata. Comenzaremos la semana y nos reuniremos en el comienzo del sendero Rifle Arch y nos acompañará el personal del Servicio Forestal. Aprenderemos sobre plantas y animales y nuestras tierras públicas locales. Los participantes deben ser al menos 10.

Proyecto de restauración de riverside con voluntarios al aire libre de Roaring Fork (RFOV)
De 9 am a 2 pm. RFOV se une al Wilderness Workshop para ¡Celebremos al Aire Libre! evento en honor a la Semana Latina de la Conservación! Venga y disfrute del aire libre mientras ayuda a la ciudad de Glenwood Springs con un proyecto de restauración de acceso a la ribera del río Colorado. Abierto a todos con servicios de traducción garantizados. Se proporcionan almuerzo, transporte y herramientas. Los participantes deben tener al menos 14 años.

Rafting en Glenwood Canyon
A partir del mediodía. ¡En asociación con compañías locales de rafting, únase a nosotros en un viaje de rafting a través de Glenwood Canyon! Morning and afternoon activities on public lands, evening celebration in the park – free and open to the public. Registration required for some activities (see below).

Bring friends, family, colleagues, or anyone who loves public lands and join us in Two Rivers Park! Final celebration at Two Rivers Park on Sunday night, starting at 2:30pm.

What: ¡Celebremos al aire Libre! Latino Conservation Week 2024
When: Saturday, September 14 from 9-12 pm and Sunday, September 15 from 9-6:30 p.m.

Cost: Celebration and most activities are free! There will be a $5 charge for rafting in Glenwood Canyon.

Family activities, food vendors, lawn games, booths, and more! ¡Celebremos al aire libre! is a bilingual family-centered, community event that will connect the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valley Latino community with public lands and their protection. Join us Saturday for a morning hike to launch the event, and then on Sunday for rafting, biking, restoration projects and other activities and then celebrate our public lands in the evening at Two Rivers Park! We’ll have live music by Conjunto Revelacion, Mariachi Sol de mi Tierra con Aspen Santa Fe Ballet.

Saturday morning activities include (9-12 pm):

Rifle Arch Morning Hike
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. We’ll kick off the week and meet at the Rifle Arch trailhead and be joined by Forest Service staff. We will learn about plants and animals and our local public lands. Participants must be at least 10.

Riverside Restoration Project with Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers (RFOV)
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. RFOV is joining Wilderness Workshop for the ¡Celebremos al Aire Libre! event in honor of Latino Conservation Week! Come and enjoy the outdoors while helping the City of Glenwood Springs with a riverside restoration access project on the banks of the Colorado River. Open to all with guaranteed translation services provided. Lunch, transportation, and tools are all provided. Participants must be at least 14.

Rafting in Glenwood Canyon
Starting at 10:30 am. In partnership with local rafting companies, join us on a rafting trip through Glenwood Canyon! All trips will begin from Two Rivers Park (where they will also end, so participants can attend the celebration afterwards). All supplies provided; participants must be 10, but do not have to have previous rafting experience.

Free Bike Rentals from Blue Sky
10:30 – 2:30 p.m. Stop by Blue Sky Adventures (walking distance to Two Rivers Park) to get fitted for a bike and helmet. Take the bike path into Glenwood Canyon on this self-guided experience.

From 2:30 to 6:30 pm, Celebrate our public lands on Sunday night. Live music by Conjunto Revelación and Mariachi Sol de mi Tierra with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet. There will also be food, vendors and giveaways.
