Welcoming New Board Members

Chris Dominick
Join us in welcoming Chris Dominick to the Wilderness Workshop board. Dominick follows in the footsteps of his grandmother, Mary Dominick, who served on the WW board for 27 years, from 1997-2024. Dominick credits the time spent growing up at his family’s dude ranch in Sunlight Basin, Wyoming, as a formative introduction to the power of intact ecosystems, and now, WW’s mission to protect them. Whether it’s the peace he “finds cross-country skiing alone through sagebrush,” or the bonds he feels while “counting wildflower species on hikes with his family,” Dominick is inspired by Wilderness Workshop’s dedication to preserving all forms of our connection to wild places. Currently, the Managing Director of ZipFit Ski Boot Liners, Chris and his wife, Alex, live in Carbondale with their son.

Kathy Chandler-Henry
Join us in welcoming Kathy Chandler Henry to the Wilderness Workshop board. Chandler-Henry is a fourth-generation Coloradan who served on the Eagle County Board of Commissioners from 2013 until January 2025, including a term as Board Chair in 2017. Her contributions have been acknowledged with honors like the Distinguished Service Award from Colorado Counties, Inc. “I grew up in western Colorado (Eagle), and my family has a ranch north of New Castle up East Elk Creek. We have always valued wilderness, water and wildlife as essential parts of life. I am an active outdoor recreationist, enjoying camping, hiking, skiing, biking, and just being outdoors,” Chandler-Henry said. “Wilderness Workshop is a critical resource for elected officials, federal and state land management agencies, and local citizens.”
