As a founding partner of JVAM, a law firm based in the Rocky Mountains, Ben works with individuals, businesses and non-profits to help plot and navigate their legal trajectory. In his free time, Ben loves to ski, fish, golf and mountain bike with his kids. When asked about the importance of being on the board of an environmental non-profit, Ben said:

“The mission is meaningful because I’ve always lived by the same personal mission. I passionately enjoy the wilderness, water, and wildlife in Western Colorado. I want to protect it so that my children and future generations can enjoy it like I have.”

Gordon’s family moved to the valley in the 1970s and instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility for protecting wild places. Early in his career, Gordon served in the Obama Administration, first in the Department of the Interior and then at the White House working on a portfolio of topics related to energy and the environment. When asked about the importance of being on the board of an environmental non-profit, Gordon said:

“I was raised to value the extraordinary wild places we get to share. I refuse to believe that these places are worth sacrificing for short term gain, and I’m thrilled to support Wilderness Workshop’s extraordinary team in their important work in preserving our region for generations to come.”
