Wilderness Workshop Snowshoe Drive

There’s something magical about a winter walk in our wild places. Here at Wilderness Workshop, we want to share the joys of winter with everyone in our community. Our Defiende Nuestra Tierra program hosts several snowshoe outings every winter to bring fun outdoor experiences to our local Latinx communities. These snowshoes are some of our most popular events! So we want to make sure we can continue expanding our winter series—and we could use your help.

We are in need of adult and children’s snowshoes so that we can lend gear to participants in our snowshoe hikes. Please donate your gently used snowshoes—or purchase some new ones for Wilderness Workshop— and give the gift of the outdoors this year!

We will be collecting adult, youth and child snowshoes through Dec. 12 at the following locations:

  • Wilderness Workshop’s Carbondale office in the Third Street Center (520 S 3rd St, Carbondale, CO 81623)
  • You can drop snowshoes in Aspen here. There will be a green box on the doorstep.

At both locations marked bins are located outside where snowshoes can be dropped any time.

And, we want to say thank you! If you drop off snowshoes at either location please send our Philanthropy Director, Emily Kay, a note with the number and size of snowshoes that you donated. Emily can also answer any questions you have about our Snowshoe Drive. Reach her at emily@wildernessworkshop.org

Thank you for helping us spread some winter joy in our community.
