Three years ago, State Senator Kerry Donovan sponsored a bill recognizing the third Saturday in May as Colorado Public Lands Day, and it passed into law! This year will mark the third annual celebration of what we hope will become a wonderful statewide tradition of honoring and enjoying our public lands. Friday, September 6 This fall, join Wilderness Workshop in honoring our organization’s most valuable resource: YOU, our fabulous members and supporters. Help us celebrate our vibrant community of public land lovers in Sopris Park in Carbondale. We’ll be offering FREE beer and non-alcoholic beverages to all Wilderness Workshop members, as well as affordable food available for sale. Look out for more details this spring. This event is free and open to the public and replaces our previous WildFest celebration with a community oriented party.
