Pull barbed wire & restore wildlife habitat

Sky Mountain Park in Snowmass
Sunday, July 8th 8:30am- 4:00pm

Help us remove old barbed wire fencing to allow animals to move freely across important elk and deer habitat in Sky Mountain Park. Vestiges of decades-old grazing operations, these disused fence lines now deteriorate and fragment wildlife habitat.

We’ll meet in the parking lot at the base of the Buttermilk Ski Area.
Please bring your own lunch, water, sun protection, close-toed shoes, and long pants and long sleeved shirts.
We’ll provide all the tools including gloves, but if you have a pair of heavy duty wire cutters feel free to bring those.

Light breakfast and pizza and drinks at the end of the day for all volunteers.
